人気MOBAゲーム「League of Legends(以下、LoL)」の「Mid-Season Invitational 2021(通称MSI)」が2021年5月6日～5月23日（現地時間）までアイスランドのレイキャビクにて開催されます。
Mid-Season Invitational 2021とは
League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2021（通称MSI）は、世界各地のリーグから11のチームが集い、世界大会の出場枠を懸けて戦う年に一度の国際大会です。
開催地域は毎年異なり、今年はアイスランド・レイキャビクで開催されます。

ステージについて
MSIは「グループステージ」「ランブルステージ」「ノックアウトステージ」の3つのステージに分かれて進行します。
①グループステージ
グループ内の各チーム総当たり戦でBO1（一本先取）を2回ずつ行い、各グループの上位2チームが「ランブルステージ」に勝ち進むことができます。
グループAはベトナム地域のMSI不参加を受けて1チーム少ないですが、上位2チームが勝ち進めるということは変わりません。
②ランブルステージ
グループステージを勝ち上がった6チームで再び総当たり戦でBO1の試合を2回ずつ行い、上位4チームがノックアウトステージに上がることができます。
③ノックアウトステージ
勝ち上がった4チームでトーナメント戦を行います。
ランブルステージの戦績にて組み合わされBO5（3本先取）を行います。
またランブルステージを1位で勝ち上がったチームには特別な権利があり、3位と4位のどちらと戦うかを決めることができます。
